Looking for any Turners, Originally from stoke on trent staffs (butt Lane), The turners also owned the picture palace on butt lane so any info or connections people may have would be welcome. trying to trace family back but only got as far as my grandad and his brothers one of whom (george Turner) was a councilor around the area for a while and had Turner Avenue in audley named after him.

JANE SPENCE? TURNER.
She is either from Northern England or Scotland and born in 1757. She married a man named Joseph Potter of Kingsfold, England and had several children.
Thomas & wife Charlotte with sons Frederick & Samuel are in 1841 England Census in Birmingham, Warwickshire. Charlotte seems to disappear after that; Thomas probably reappeared in 1881 in London, lodging with non-family but still recorded as being married; Frederick & his family emigrated to New Zealand in 1870 and I am interested in making contact with descendants of Samuel for the purpose of comparing notes on hopefully common ancestry. Frederick is my great-grandfather.
