We are looking for my native American ancestor. She was probably from the Lenni Lenape Tribe.
Jacob Boyer married around 1854. In the census near that time, it shows that the name of the wife was Susan. That name was probably an Americanized version of the Indian name. In the census, it showed the Boyer family had 6 sons, but only two of them were Susan's. The other children were from an earlier marriage.
We would like to find the Native American maiden name, and if possible, the Native American first name.
Sometimes the name Boyer was spelled Bayer in past history, but it was Boyer in 1854. The family probably lived in Pennsylvania in a community with German heritage.

I am looking for any info on my grandmother, Nina Rossell Roberts. Her and her brother Harry Rossell were in the Protestant Orphan Auslum in Allegheny County. That was back in like 1920 or so. I know very, very little about my grandmother and welcome any info. I do know that her dad's name was James Ambrosie Rossell and her mother's name was Rebecca Underwood Rossell.I also know that James' parents were John and Martha Rossell and that Rebecca's parents were John and Effa Underwood. I know that my grandmother was married to Andrew Roberts and that she died in 1951. I do not know where, how or when. I also do not know when they were married. To my knowledge they only had one living child and that was my dad, James Roberts. He was born in PA in 1939 in Washington County. I have tried the birth certificate thing but there was no useful info, I also tried the SSDI and still no valuable info. Please respond with anything even if you are not sure at: tkobylski720@yahoo.com
