Looking for any info about an Alvin Sullivan who was a doctor in upstate New York in the late 1800's through early 1900's. He was born in the 1800's.....probably around 1860-ish. Don't know if he was born in New York, or if his family emigrated from Ireland when he was a child, but do know that he was a doctor in New York. He had a brother named Philip who married a woman named Delia. Also trying to find out if there were any other siblings, and/or if Alvin ever married.

Thanks for reply, I will keep trying. I kinda lost my appeal with the Coast Guard about tfive years ago, something to do with Freedom Information act 1964, I have been corresponing with them since I was 17, but to no avail. I know he worked for Watersman Shipping Co in Alabama in the 50/60's then I think went to the West Coast for Tini Shipping Co.
have you tried the west coast seamen's union? the are very reluctant to give out information on their members, but if you can convince them you are not looking for him for any wrong doing or money you might get somewhere.they might be able to tell you where his last pension check wen't. it may take a while if they even answer you.
