I am the daughter of a Stewart and while my search ends at my great-great-great grandfather (I got an unknown cousin out of that search), I can tell you a little about the name Stewart: although through history books, we know Mary Queen of Scots' surname was Stuart, it was actually spelled Stewart, until she married the French dauphin. She changed the spelling to look more "French", but who knows, you or me or both of us could be related to her in some way!
Good luck, and if I find out anything more, I will contact you.
I am looking for Chris' mother Caroline Daniels, his wife at his time of death Bari and his other children, Christopher Todd Jr b 1996? and Sarah b 1999. I think they may be in PA because that is where they were living when he died. He also had a sister Sarah b 11 Sept 1972 d 10 Aug 1998.
I believe that Caroline has a brother Michael Gonzales in either Maryland or Virginia. I believe Michael was in law enforcement.
Any assistance would be greatly appriciated in helping my children find this side of their family.
Thanks and have a great day!
Cheryl

Reading the information you're giving, I'm pretty sure that your William Henry Stewart Sr. is the same William Henry Stewart in my ancestry, who was the son of Samuel Henry Stewart and Mary Murphy.
I believe my great great grandfather, came from northern Ireland, and settled in cuyahoga co. Ohio, his name was john stewart, he had three children, hugh, the oldest, then william, then mary elizebeth, would like to find john's wife's name, and where they came from in Ireland, any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you. Sincerly, Alvin L Stewart.
Take a look at the following current free web site on the Stewart its www.thestewartsinireland.com
This lists many Stewarts in Ireland which were copied from parish church records, (mainly anglican) civil lists, 1911/1901 census returns, Griffiths Valuations of the 1850's and Tithe Applotment Books of the 1820's.
Research is on going and many additional records will be added to the site in the next few weeks.
