I'm looking for information pertaining to my Grandfather Lewis Smith married to Frances Wozniak (originally form Minnesota).
They had 13 children and remained in NJ until 1918 where they moved to Philadlphia and took the last saying his (Lewis)father was considered the black sheep of the family however our grandfather stated he had brothers and sisters. My Dad never talked about his side of so if anyone can assist with information it would be very helpful. I do know my GGfather was born in Alsa Lorraine but came over before Germany took over. No idea about my GGgrandmother however I think my GGgrandfather was either a cobbler or a gentleman-gentleman. Please if you are an uncle, aunt, 1,2 cousin and you have information please e-mai me.

Looking for Andrew Jackson Smith, its possible he had a twin brother. he had a son named John Woody Smith , who is my great-grandfather. my grandmothers name is Beulah lee Smith. She might have been born in poughkeepie, Arkansas in 1899
Well now I am looking for my Grandmother's, siblings. My Grandmother was Delia Smith Born August 3, 1904 in St. Isidore de Bellevue, Saskatchewan to the parents of Dolphis Smith(b: January 31, 1880 in St Laurent, Sk. which is close to Duck Lake,Sk.) and Marie Virginie Cayen(b: March 27, 1882 in Duck Lake, Sk.). I have some information. Although I do not know if it was their first name or middle names they were using. I thought I knew my Grandmother well, and what a delightful surprise to know she did have brother's and sister's who she grew up with(my Grandmother went by the name of Rose later which I knew her as and I knew her given name was Delia). The only brother and sister that we heard of when growing up was Alfred Smith and Georgiana Smith(we were told they died when our Grandmother was young, and Alfred Smith died in 1944 in ww2). What I found was this for all of her sister's and brother's was: Alfred, Marie, Delia(my Grandmother),Georgiana, Alcide, Joesph, Mike, Johnny(john),Agnes and Erest(or Ernest). I do not know if Alcide is Joesph or they are two separate children. Many would go by their middle name. I am not happy though that it was decided for me that part of my family would be hidden from me and would never have the chance to know. How very sad and unfortunate for me and my siblings.
If anyone has any info on the "Smith" family of this line I would appreciate any info. If you have any info on the military of Alfred, Alcide, or any of the boys would be very helpful as well. I have a picture of a brother in uniform which was my Grandmother's brother although I do not know which one it is. Found out they did not mention the "Metis" who fought in ww2 but it has to be written some where. I have looked on collections Canada and not their. If anyone knows anything please send me a email attention "Smith Family". Thank you ahead of time.(please note my nic name is Bunnie)
My Great Grandfather was Dolphis Smith, born:Jan. 31, 1880(Metis) He was the son of Henri Smith and Elise Parenteau. Both parents are Metis as well.
Dolphis Smith married Marie Virginie Cayen(born March 27, 1882)(Metis). They married October 17, 1901. One of their daughters (Delia Smith)was my Grandmother who was Metis as well.
Delia Smith's husband was Felicien Bonthoux, who came from France in 1911 to Duck Lake, SK.Delia Smith was married August 18, 1925 in Bellevue, Saskatchewan. These are my Grandparents.
Marie Virginie Cayen's parents are Alexandre Cayen(JR)and Marie Adeline Piche(my Great Great Grandparents). Marie Adeline Piche would marry a second time after her first husbands death. Marie Adeline Piche had only 3 children with Alexandre Cayen(JR)(known as Alexandre (goudreau/boudreau)Cayen(JR), she would have many more children with her 2nd husband "Louis Bourassa". My Great Great Grandmother's 2nd marriage was to Louis Bourassa(Petit Louis).
