I am an author/researcher looking for information on the death and burial place of Mollie Sheppard, who purportedly died of infection resulting from wounds she received in the Wickenburg Massacre of November, 1871. She reportedly died in or near San Francisco after January 1872 (presumably later in 1872). She immigrated from Ireland alone when she was 5 years old, grew up in the California area, and became a prostitute.
It is very doubtful that she had any desendants, but I would be very interested in hearing from distant relatives or anyone with knowledge of her place of death and burial.
We are looking for family members descended from John and Mary Sheppard who arrived in Canada and settled in Carleton Place Ontario. My mother was Dorothy Sheppard, daughter of Norris Edward Sheppard and Elsa Hackbusch born in Toronto. My grandparents came from the area around Hamilton Ontario.
