Hi. I hope someone can helpe me, seeking Palfi .
Facts i have.
My grandmother, Juliane (I don't know her surename from before She was married.) She is born or lived in Medgyesbodzas 14.03.1927. She married John P Palfi, we don't know where or when. He is born or lived in Csobanka 23.04.1927. He has/ may have been in the millitary, an there is someone who once told me about her being placed as a child at a nun monastery. At the monastery, she got good help from a priest, named Robert. And her first born child was given the name after him. They moved to Linz in Austria and their first child Robert was born there 02.04.1949. They moved to Stern in Austria and their second child was born (my father). 01.06.1950. We are not sure if my father was named Johan or Janos by them, or if Johan is his name given by his adoptiv parents. Then Juliane and John had to leave theyr children, and moved to Canada. While they was getting organized in Canada, the governmentt placed the cildren up for adoption, so when the came back to pick them up, they where told that they where dead. I've been talking with my grandmoter recently, caling to Canada. She is wery sick and I have tryed to ask her, but She don't hear that good, and don't understand what I'm asking for. So I hope someone here may helpe me fill inn the blanks. I HOPE TO KNOW THE PARENS NAME, BIRTHDATE, SIBLINGS, MARRIAGEDATE AND PLACE, DISTRICT THEY WHERE LIVING, AND I GUES A LOT MORE. We don't know if my father and his brother was babtized, where and how.
my name is Lee Finkelstein, I live in Queensland, in Cairns.
I am the great granddaughter of Norman Baer Lentz. My grandmother Pearl Levy was his daughter, my mother Anita Barr was his granddaughter. I have some info on his family.
My grandmother Pearl married Raphael Ernest Levy, she died in about 1983, I would have to look this up. She was born in the early 1900s
His son Leon married Margaret Ida Meek - we called her Aunty Madge - in 1941 - they had no children and they both died in the 1960's - they won the lottery and died not long after. I remember them well, Leon served in WW1 and I recall seeing his photo in uniform.
My mother Anita married my father Lawrence Barr in 1948.
Norman Baer divorced his first wife Charlotte Solomon who he married in 1896, in 1907, seems she headed off to Western Australia. Then in 1909 he married Amelia Joseph, my grandmother did not get on well with her stepmother and left home very early.
There was also a Peter who was my grandmother's brother and they talked about an Uncle Peter who I assumed was Norman's brother. My parents named my brother Peter - he was born in 1949 and died in 1954. I was named Leonie after Uncle Leon on mum's side and another uncle Leon on my dad's side. The family names keep going on. I am called Lee now though.
I would be happy to correspond and fill in more details for you - my email address at home is firstname.lastname@example.org and my home phone is 0740537839, or mobile 0418721545. I have not found much info on that part of my family and I always wanted to know more about them. love to talk to you

I am building our family tree. The Kaszas branch is mine - and unfortunately, the one with the least amount of available information. My father's family originates from Yugoslavia in the Norodnog Fronta and I've lost contact with everyone on that side of my family. If anyone has a suggestion on how I can find more information by pointing my in the right direction or providing me with a site specific to marriage and death certificates in old Yugoslavia, it would be a great help. I am also looking to fill in the gaps in the larger branches of my family tree - specifically, the Kemenesi / Rappay / Magyar branches.
I also have family roots in Budapest, Seregelyes, Szekesfehervar. Looking to fill in some missing info. Currently, have oldest roots dating back to 1841 with missing death dates. Can anyone help expand any of the family root names noted above? Help is appreciated!
Please feel free to email me with your suggestions or tips. I've exhausted my options with the limited knowledge I have of geneology research.
