my  name is Lee Finkelstein, I live in Queensland, in Cairns.

I am the great granddaughter of Norman Baer Lentz.  My grandmother Pearl Levy was his daughter, my mother Anita Barr was his granddaughter.  I have some info on his family.

My grandmother Pearl married Raphael Ernest Levy, she died in about 1983, I would have to look this up. She was born in the early 1900s

His son Leon  married Margaret Ida Meek - we called her Aunty Madge -  in 1941 - they had no children and they both died in the 1960's - they won the lottery and died not long after. I remember them well, Leon served in WW1 and I recall seeing his photo in uniform.

My mother Anita married my father Lawrence Barr in 1948. 

Norman Baer divorced his first wife Charlotte Solomon who he married in 1896, in 1907, seems she headed off to Western Australia.  Then in 1909 he married Amelia Joseph, my grandmother did not get on well with her stepmother and left home very early.

There was also a Peter who was my grandmother's brother and they talked about an Uncle Peter who I assumed was Norman's brother.  My parents named my brother Peter - he was born in 1949 and died in 1954.  I was named Leonie after Uncle Leon on mum's side and another uncle Leon on my dad's side.  The family names keep going on.  I am called Lee now though.
