Hi there - Not sure if someone can help me. Any assistance is most appreciated. I have a photo of very important ancestors in our family. They descended from a Countess whom was a companion friend to King Otto's mother - Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. The photo dates back to early 1800's and was an actual etching of the three children of the countess and my family member a Siber whom we knew the last name to be Seiber. I will wait anxiously for someone to help me unravel the mystery - Thank you :-)
"(Mein Vater) Gebrueder Karl, Alexander & Paul Benjamin Siber, nach der Natur gezeichnet v. Joh. Siber, Kunstmaler und Lithograph v. Behringer, photographiert v. Kielinger."
and that means (Excuse my bad English!) "(My Father) Brothers Karl, Alexander & Paul Benjamin Siber, painted according to nature by Johann Siber, artist painter and lithographer of Behringer, photogrphed by Kielinger."
I hope, I could help you. If it is so, I would be glad to hear. I am Regina Wagner (email@example.com)
