Is Lars Severin known to you? Maybe he can help in some way. My grandaunt Martha Uecker was married to Friedrich Severin, gardener in Kremmen in Brandenburg, whose father was from Ribnitz in Mecklenburg. If interested in further information let me know.
I am trying to trace some ancestors of my husbands family that go back to Germany, not sure of which part but was Johann F.? Seidel who immigrated to America. I believe that some of his family migrated to California. My husband's father is Clyde Elaf Sidles (the spelling was changed after they came to America). They did not migrate west right away. They were up north first, I believe (if memory serves me correctly) in either New York, Pennsylvania or Massachusetts. I don't have my genealogy info here with me....it's all at home. I would appreciate any info you can provide on the German side of the family that might have immigrated to the U.S. Thank you. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. Vicki Sidles
