I am looking for information about James Lacy McKenzie from Louisiana Born March 4, 1871 in Homer, Claiborne Parish,La & died July 1, 1952 in Homer, Claiborne Parish, La. He was married to Keturah W. Hart. I would like to know what years he was a Deputy Sherrif & what years he worked for the railroad.
Have some information but not too real?? in 1934 she is listed as Mrs Alex Mackenzie of Red Deer Alberta daughter of Jane Stewart I do know her father is John Murray and mother Jane Stewart also known as Stuart she was born in 1890 Scotland she is half sister to my grandmother Georgina Tough Hellawell any help greatly appreciated
my grandfather's brother john, emigrated to canada from scotland along with his sister isabella, he married amelia mc crae and had a son daniel ross mckenzie in 1873, who married emily mary hardwick ,they then had a daughter called mary amelia,I do not know any more from this point even the year she was born, I wonder please if anyone has any further information, that could help me fit the peices of the puzzle.

Family can also be found on the 1891 Canada Census - still resident in Euphrasia, Ontario, but now John is a Widower with all the same children, though they are now listed as born Ontario, not Quebec. John is still shown as born Scotland, and though Amelia has passed on, the children all show mother's birthplace as Scotland, not Quebec, which is in contradiction to the 1881 Census.
There are two additional children since the 1881: Daughters, Florence A McKenzie born 1879, and Albertha G. McKenzie born 1883
I know my grandpa was born in Scotland in the late 1800's coz my grandma was born in 1880 and they got married ,her name was helen hannah Crombie, and his was Alexander McKenzie they had seven children of which my mother was one of, I know my grannies line but not my poppa's so does anyone know anything about them please
im looking for info on louisa mckinzie/mckenzie. she was born around 1810 in NC and died in monroe co. TN. i know she has a son named john mark mckenzie by a man named john franklin prock. anyone have info would be a great help.
