William W. Dangerfield MONCKS CORNER - William Walling "Bill" Dangerfield, 87, of Moncks Corner, SC, a retired mechanical engineer and manager of Duke Power's gas and hydroelectric plant at Chappells, SC, died Wednesday afternoon at his residence. His funeral will be 1:00 PM Monday afternoon, November 26, 2012, in the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Groomsville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church, 200 N. Live Oak Dr., Moncks Corner, SC 29461. Mr. Dangerfield was born September 3, 1925, in Moncks Corner, SC, a son of Robert Henry Dangerfield, Sr., and Jessie Lanier Smith Dangerfield. He was a graduate of Berkeley High School and was a member of the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school, was a choir member, and also had served on all of the boards. Mr. Dangerfield was a Master Mason, a member of the York Rite, and a member of the Oasis Shrine Temple in Charlotte. He was a former member of the planning committee for the Berkeley Intermediate School, the Lions Club, the Elks Club, the Kiwanis Club, and the Moncks Corner American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Mary Simmons Dangerfield; three sons, David Dangerfield and his wife, Pat, of High Point, NC, Keith Dangerfield of Houston, TX, and Chris Dangerfield and his wife, Angela, of Cross; five grandchildren, Dana Dangerfield, Fella Spurlock, Rylie Dangerfield, Waylon Dangerfield, and Wyat Dangerfield; and four great grandchildren.
