About our family
Most of my known ancesters came to America frm the Eastern parts of Germany between 1850 and 1885. The Haueter portion of the family (my paternal grandmother\'s father & mother) came from Switzerland (around Bern, I believe). For Maureen\'s family, her father (Lyle) Irish father\'s and German mother\'s family (Haus) lived in and around Lawler, Iowa before moving to the Milwuakee area. Her Mother (Elizabeth) Patelle\'s family came to the Milwaukee area from the area around Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and the McShane\'s came to America from England.
Missing pieces
I can track most of my ancestors to the gereration that emigrated to the United States. I have little information on some of their siblings. I am particularly interested in siblings for: -Heinrich Erdmann -August & Henrietta Foemming -Gottfried & Anna Haueter -Louise Froeming nee Boness Maureen is most interested in more information about the Patelle\'s and McShane\'s.
